Site description. Dsegh is one of the montainous parts of Lori is a complex geomorphological terrain with deep canyons and high picks. Dsegh IBA is covering the terrritory south to Debed River including the area between Pombak and Martz rivers, up to Halab mountain chain foothills. The highest point of IBA is Bovaqar (Halab) Mountain (3016 m), the lowest - estuary of Martz River (829 above sea level). Мountain steppe, dense forests, trans-alpine and alpine meadows provide the vertical zoning of IBA. 

Key biodiversity. In Dsegh IBA you can find more than 150 species. Dsegh IBA is distinguished with the variety of birds of prey nesting here, such as Bearded Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Long-legged Buzzard, Levant Sparrowhawk, European Honey-buzzard, Peregrine Falcon, European Roller, Semi-collared Flycatcher, Corn Crake, Caspian Snowcock.   

Trigger species. Caucasian Grouse (Lyrurus mlokosiewiczi), Egyptian Vulture (Neophron percnopterus), Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus), Long-legged Buzzard (Buteo rufinus), Lesser Spotted Eagle (Clanga pomarina).
