Winners of our latest art competition which carries the theme European Bee-eater as the Bird of 2012 Year have been chosen and are presented below. The Armenian Society for the Protection of Birds has received more than 400 poignant artworks from children from across Armenia.
Among the main prizewinners is 14-year-old Artak Hayrapetyan of village Arzakan in Kotayk marz, who earned national first place in the competition and whose top-ranked painting depicts a European Bee-eater combined with scenes of Armenian mountains, forest and a bee hives.. Second place was shared by Anna Harutyunyan of Vanadzor (7th grade, school #10), 10 year old Ani Brsoyan from Yerevan and Davit Manukyan from Yeghegnadzor (6th grade). The third prize winners are Suren Varderesyan of Vanadzor (10th grade, school #10), 17 year old Shushan Yerznkyan from Jrvezh in Yerevan (school #187) and Hayk Harutyunyan from Yeghegnadzor (7th grade).

All young winners and their parents will be invited to the award ceremony organized by ASPB and will receive prizes.
