ASPB launches a new program at TUMO

Armenian Society for the Protection of Birds organises various conservation, research and eco-educational activities across the whole country.

Since the end of November our organisation started to implement new educational program, targeting the students of Tumo Center for Creative Technologies in Yerevan.

The educational program includes various lectures about widespread bird species and skills required to identify them. At the end of each class we organize a summary with questions, checking the level of acceptance and the ability to analyze the knowledge that children received.

According to the educational program designed by ASPB, the following classes will include such practical trainings, as designing and installing bird feeders in Tumo park, birdwatching with students and many others.pic4

Through these lectures ASPB also aims to introduce students with “Bird of the Year” and “Spring Alive” programs, in order to highlight the importance of identifying and supporting certain bird species.

The classes we implement in Tumo are free of charge, occur 2 times per month, and are targeting all interested students of Center, who have a wish to join us during any phase of the program.

Armenian Society for the Protection of Birds is pleased to cooperate with Tumo Center for Creative Technologies. We believe that with our joint support we will have a chance to have educated and nature friendly generation in close future.
